Phillips Fastener screws are made of high quality hardened steel and are coated with our proprietary barrier coating. The coating is designed to last for the lifetime of your project and will offer corrosion resistance equal to or better than hot-dipped, galvanized nails. The screws are not intended to last longer than the life expectancy of your wood. The reuse of screws is not recommended and will void any guarantee. Phillips Fasteners’ Stainless steel is recommended for coastal and water areas.

Phillips Fastener coating will not prevent staining, streaking or extractive bleeding related to high tannin content lumber such as cedar, redwood and cypress. Properly treating and sealing the lumber in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations is required.

Unless otherwise specified as structural screws, screws are not designed for use in metal hangers, railing supports or for structural applications. Consult your building code and your board manufacturer’s recommendation for proper fasteners and fastening methods.

How many screws do you need?

POZISQUARE Outdoor Wood Screws come in green and tan in a variety of sizes and quantities. Both colors are compatible with pressure treated lumber because even if your top boards are cedar your structure is still pressure treated and choosing the proper fastener is more important than ever . Paint and stain will adhere to the POZISQUARE Outdoor Screws for a custom look to all your projects. Always consult your building code for proper fastening methods.

POZISQUARE and Square Drive recesses

A standard square drive has four points of contact. Pozisquare has a square in the recess as well as a Phillips. We have added a Phillips portion to allow for more surface for the bit to grab on to. This means POZISQUARE can be driven off angle with more torque.

ACR

ACR stands for Anti Camout Recess. There are ribs on the driver bit that engage in the patented recess to reduce stripping, provide increased torque, enhance off-angle drivability and offers a stick fit that makes screw driving easier. Pozisquare screws can be driven with a standard square driver bit included in the Outdoor screw box. However for the features of the patented ACR system, we recommend the Pozisquare driver bit that is also included.
