Or Zip Screws
Metal Framing screws are used when attaching the metal studs to each other during the framing process. Often these screws are referred to as zip screws.
Drill or Sharp Point
A drill point is needed when attaching 20 gauge (or thicker) metal studs. A sharp point is utilized when attaching 22 gauge (or thinner) metal studs together.
Fine-Thread Drywall Screws-Drill Point
More Torque with Less Pressure
If your project is working with metal studs, why would you choose any other fastener than the POZISQUARE Framing and Fine-Thread Drywall? POZISQUARE with ACR recess provides more than twice the torque to drive through the toughest material without stripping the recess or snapping off the head. It even drives off angle for tough to reach places.
Textured Head
A unique metal stamped textured head provides the proper surface for adhesion of spackle and paint. Your project lasts longer and looks better.
Sharp, Durable Cutting Point
A combination of tight heat treating controls, high quality steel, and manufacturing know-how yield the best drill point available. POZISQUARE Metal Stud Screws drill through steel studs 30% faster than other leading brands.
POZISQUARE Metal Stud Screw is available in 6x1-1/4" and 6x1-5/8". They come in a plastic, reusable case with a POZISQUARE driver bit.
ACR
The patented ACR system stands for Anti Camout Recess. There are ribs on the driver bit that seat on a ledge within the recess. This provides more driving torque, allows off-angle driving and provides a stick-fit that holds the screw on the bit for easier driving. Pozisquare screws can be driven with a standard square driver bit included in the Metal Framing and Fine Thread Drywall screw box. However for the features of the patented ACR system, we recommend the Pozisquare driver bit that is also included in both.
